Warranty & Guarantee Policy
This Warranty & Guarantee Policy applies to eligible work carried out directly by HeadLite.UK, including headlight resealing, lens replacement, restoration, plastic welding, internal repairs, Bi-LED retrofits, angel eye conversions, LED repairs, wiring work, and custom headlight modifications.
By booking a service, collecting completed headlights, receiving returned headlights by courier, or installing headlights worked on by HeadLite.UK, the customer agrees to the terms below.
1. Warranty Overview
HeadLite.UK stands behind the quality of its workmanship and the components installed as part of our services.
Warranty cover applies only to work carried out directly by HeadLite.UK and only within the applicable warranty period.
The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original customer.
Warranty claims are assessed on a case-by-case basis. If a valid warranty issue is confirmed, HeadLite.UK will arrange a warranty repair free of charge in the next available booking slot.
Warranty cover does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund, replacement unit, compensation, or priority booking.
2. Warranty Periods
HeadLite.UK provides the following warranty periods:
12-Month Warranty — Sealing and Condensation Issues
HeadLite.UK provides a 12-month warranty against sealing-related condensation issues following work completed by HeadLite.UK.
This applies where condensation, water ingress, internal water droplets, or moisture build-up is confirmed to be caused by sealing work carried out by HeadLite.UK.
This 12-month sealing warranty does not apply to headlights that have previously been opened, repaired, resealed, modified, or worked on by another person, business, or third party before coming to HeadLite.UK.
6-Month Warranty — Burned-Out DRL Repairs
HeadLite.UK provides a 6-month warranty for burned-out DRL repairs carried out directly by HeadLite.UK.
This applies where a DRL fault reoccurs and is confirmed to be directly related to the DRL repair work completed by HeadLite.UK.
This warranty applies only to the repaired DRL fault and does not cover unrelated electrical issues, vehicle-side faults, control module faults, wiring faults outside the repaired area, water damage, impact damage, misuse, or third-party interference.
This 6-month DRL repair warranty does not apply to Jaguar F-Type Facelift models from 2017 onwards. Warranty terms for this model are different and are indicated in section 13.
90-Day Warranty — Internal Electrical Work
HeadLite.UK provides a 90-day warranty for eligible internal electrical work carried out directly by HeadLite.UK.
This may include, where supplied, repaired, or installed by HeadLite.UK:
LED boards
Control modules
Ballasts
Projectors
Angel eyes / halo rings
Internal wiring
Switchback systems
DRL components, unless covered separately under the 6-month burned-out DRL repair warranty
Custom lighting components
Other internal electrical components installed or repaired by HeadLite.UK
This warranty applies only to faults directly related to the work carried out by HeadLite.UK.
3. Condensation and Moisture
All headlights are sealed using appropriate methods based on the design, condition, and construction of the headlight unit.
However, headlights are exposed to changing temperatures, humidity, rain, washing, pressure changes, and environmental conditions. For this reason, some light misting or fogging can be normal and may clear naturally once the headlight ventilates and warms up.
The 12-month sealing warranty applies only where the issue is confirmed to be caused by a failure in sealing work carried out by HeadLite.UK.
The warranty may cover:
Internal condensation caused by sealing failure
Water droplets caused by sealing failure
Water ingress caused by sealing failure
Resealing work required due to a fault in HeadLite.UK workmanship
The warranty does not cover condensation or moisture caused by:
Previously repaired, opened, or modified headlights by another party
Missing rear covers, caps, seals, bulbs, vents, or grommets
Damaged housings, cracks, broken tabs, or impact damage
Incorrect installation
Pressure washing
Poor vehicle drainage
Blocked vents
Vehicle accident damage
Third-party interference after completion
Customer or third-party disassembly
Age-related deterioration outside the area worked on by HeadLite.UK
Customers must report condensation or moisture issues as soon as they notice them and provide clear photo or video evidence.
4. Electrical Components and Internal Electrical Work
Internal electrical work carried out by HeadLite.UK is covered for 90 days from the date of completion, collection, or return shipping, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
This warranty applies only to faults directly linked to HeadLite.UK workmanship or components supplied and installed by HeadLite.UK.
Electrical warranty cover may include:
LED failure
Angel eye failure
Wiring faults caused by our installation
Projector or Bi-LED faults, where supplied and installed by HeadLite.UK
Ballast or control module faults, where supplied and installed by HeadLite.UK
Switchback or DRL faults, where supplied and installed by HeadLite.UK
This warranty does not cover:

Customer-supplied parts
Used parts supplied by the customer
Components not supplied or installed by HeadLite.UK
Tampering, rewiring, opening, or modification after completion

5. Previously Repaired, Opened or Modified Headlights
The 12-month sealing warranty does not apply to headlights that were previously opened, repaired, modified, resealed, or worked on by anyone other than HeadLite.UK.
Previously repaired units can carry a higher risk of:
Damaged sealing channels
Excessive sealant
Incorrect adhesives
Distorted housings
Cracked plastic
Broken clips
Damaged vents
Poor previous wiring
Missing covers or internal components
Where HeadLite.UK works on a previously repaired or modified headlight, any warranty offered will be limited and assessed case by case.
HeadLite.UK may still offer support or repair options where possible, but this may be chargeable.
6. Painted and Cosmetic Components
HeadLite.UK takes care when preparing, painting, restoring, and modifying internal or external cosmetic components.
However, minor cosmetic imperfections may occur due to the age, condition, design, material, or previous repair history of the headlight.
The warranty does not cover minor cosmetic issues such as:
Small dust particles
Minor surface texture
Light swirl marks
Fine marks visible only under certain lighting
Slight finish variation
Age-related fading of original materials
Imperfections caused by previous repairs or contamination
If a significant paint or finish issue is believed to be caused by HeadLite.UK workmanship, the customer must provide clear photo or video evidence. The issue will be reviewed and, if accepted as a valid warranty claim, a repair will be booked in the next available slot.
7. Warranty Repair Process
If an issue occurs within the applicable warranty period and appears to be related to HeadLite.UK work, the customer must contact HeadLite.UK with:
Customer name
Order reference, invoice, or booking details
Date of completion, collection, or delivery
Clear description of the issue
Clear photos and/or videos showing the problem

HeadLite.UK will review the information provided and may request further photos, videos, testing, or return of the item for inspection.

Inbound shipping to HeadLite.UK is the customer’s responsibility and must be paid by the customer.
If the warranty claim is approved, outbound return shipping back to the customer will be covered by HeadLite.UK.
If the item is returned and the issue is found not to be covered under warranty, inspection, repair, labour, parts, and return shipping may be chargeable.

Unless confirmed otherwise in writing, custom headlights are supplied for show, display, or off-road use only.
HeadLite.UK does not guarantee that custom headlights or modified lighting will pass MOT, roadworthiness inspections, insurance checks, or legal compliance checks.
The customer is responsible for checking whether any modification is legal for road use in their country, region, or vehicle application.
10. Voiding the Warranty

13. Jaguar F-Type Facelift 2017 Onwards — DRL Repair
This section applies specifically to Jaguar F-Type Facelift models from 2017 onwards requiring DRL repair.
This repair is different from standard headlight repairs because the repair method has been developed specifically for this model and is not yet considered a fully established or long-term stable repair in the same way as other HeadLite.UK services.
HeadLite.UK provides this repair as a professional service using the same care, workmanship standards, and attention to detail as our other headlight services. However, due to the design and behaviour of this specific headlight type, different warranty terms apply.
Warranty Cover
Jaguar F-Type Facelift 2017 onwards DRL repairs are covered by a 90-day warranty for the DRL issues and 12 month for condensation issues.
This warranty applies only to the replacement DRL tube fitted by HeadLite.UK on the driver-side and/or passenger-side headlight, depending on the agreed repair.
The warranty does not cover unrelated faults, including but not limited to:
Vehicle-side electrical faults
Control module faults
Wiring faults outside the repaired area
Water damage not caused by HeadLite.UK workmanship
Impact damage
Previous repair attempts
Third-party interference
General headlight failure unrelated to the replaced DRL tube
Lens Cover and Resealing
This repair package usually includes resealing the headlight with a new lens cover.
However, some units may not be suitable for a new lens cover due to the condition, structure, fitment, previous repairs, or other factors discovered during inspection.
Where a new lens cover cannot be fitted, HeadLite.UK may reseal the headlight using the existing lens cover where suitable.
Removal and Refit
The agreed repair price includes removal and refitting of the headlights on the vehicle, unless otherwise stated in writing.
Pricing
The price of this repair may vary depending on the condition of the headlights, parts availability, labour requirements, previous repair attempts, and any additional issues discovered during the work.
HeadLite.UK reserves the right to adjust the price of this repair where necessary. Any price changes will be discussed with the customer before additional work continues.
DRL Brightness
This repair is intended to restore the DRL function and appearance as closely as reasonably possible.
The repaired DRL usually achieves approximately 80% to 90% of the original DRL brightness.
HeadLite.UK does not guarantee that the repaired DRL will be identical in brightness, colour, or appearance to a brand-new original manufacturer unit.
