Warranty & Guarantee
At HeadLite, we stand behind the quality of our work and components. This Warranty & Guarantee policy outlines what is covered, what is excluded, and the terms under which customers can make a claim.
1. Warranty & Guarantee Coverage
We offer the following for all eligible headlight services and custom builds:
30-Day Guarantee: Covers immediate defects, workmanship concerns, and sealing issues. Any issues must be reported within this period to qualify for a no-cost assessment or repair.
12-Month Warranty: Covers electrical components supplied and installed by us, including:
Bi-LED projectors
Angel eyes (halo rings)
Internal wiring and switchback systems
Plastic welding (against separation or structural failure under normal use)
This warranty only applies to work carried out directly by HeadLite. It is non-transferable and remains valid only for the original purchaser.
2. Condensation & Moisture
Headlights are sealed using industry-standard techniques. However, all headlights are subject to environmental conditions.
Light misting or fogging is considered normal, especially in wet or cold weather or immediately after washing the vehicle.
Visible internal condensation (water droplets or pooling) within 30 days must be reported immediately. We will request photos and may ask you to monitor the condition.
If the issue is deemed to be related to sealing performed by HeadLite, we may advise resealing or repairing under warranty.
Condensation issues reported after the 30-day guarantee period will be evaluated, but any resealing may be chargeable.
3. Painted Components
We take great care when painting internal headlight parts. However, customers must be aware:
Minor imperfections such as dust particles or surface texture variations are not covered under warranty.
If a paint reaction occurs (e.g., due to material incompatibility or substrate issues), please provide clear photos. We will evaluate the issue and, if necessary, request the unit be returned for respraying. This process may take up to 14 working days (excluding delivery times).
4. LED Components
LED components (including rings, strips, and switchbacks) installed by HeadLite come with a 12-month warranty covering:
LED failure
Power supply or control board issues (where supplied by us)
Installation-related faults
Warranty is void if:
The item has been tampered with
Third-party wiring or installation causes failure
There is physical or water damage due to misuse or improper sealing by another party
5. Limitations & Exclusions
The following are not covered under our warranty:
Headlights or components not supplied by HeadLite
Damage from improper installation by third parties
Electrical issues from incorrect vehicle-side wiring
Impact damage, cracking, or wear after delivery
Legal compliance or MOT issues with customised lighting
Cosmetic issues (e.g., fading, light swirl marks, fine dust)
Shipping damage (see our Shipping Policy for more)
Custom headlights are considered for show or off-road use only. We do not guarantee that customisations will pass MOT or legal road inspections unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6. Making a Warranty Claim
To make a claim under warranty, you must:

Provide your name, order reference, a clear description of the issue, and photo/video evidence
Ship the item back to us if requested (shipping to us is at your cost; return shipping is covered if the claim is approved)
Unauthorised tampering, disassembly, or third-party modifications will void all warranty and guarantee terms.
