Service Agreement & Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by HeadLite.UK, including but not limited to headlight restoration, lens replacement, plastic welding, Bi-LED retrofits, angel eye conversions, custom headlight builds, motorcycle headlight customisation, and related repair or modification work.
By booking a service, paying a deposit, sending headlights to us, or leaving a vehicle or item with us, the customer agrees to the terms below.
1. Service Agreement
By booking a service with HeadLite.UK, the customer agrees to:
Provide accurate information about the headlight, vehicle, previous repairs, modifications, faults, damage, and overall condition.
Accept the known risks associated with opening, repairing, restoring, or modifying sealed headlight units.
Pay all agreed charges as stated in written quotes, invoices, messages, or confirmed communications.
Understand that additional charges may apply if further issues are discovered during inspection or repair.
Accept that customised or modified headlights may not be road legal and may not pass MOT or roadworthiness inspections.
HeadLite.UK reserves the right to refuse, pause, or cancel work if the headlight or vehicle condition is unsuitable, unsafe, misdescribed, or significantly different from the information provided before booking.
2. Vehicle Responsibility and Parking
If a customer leaves a vehicle with HeadLite.UK, the vehicle remains the customer’s responsibility at all times.
HeadLite.UK is not responsible for any damage, loss, theft, vandalism, parking fines, weather damage, or any other issue affecting the vehicle while it is left with us or near our premises.
Once the agreed work has been completed, vehicles may be parked on the street until collected by the customer. Any damage, loss, theft, fines, or incidents that occur after the vehicle has been left, parked, moved, or completed remain the customer’s responsibility.
Customers should ensure that their vehicle is insured, taxed, roadworthy, and legally parked where applicable.
3. Inspection, Risk and Liability
Headlight work often requires heating, opening, cutting, separating, resealing, wiring, polishing, sanding, coating, plastic welding, or modifying parts that may already be aged, brittle, damaged, previously opened, poorly repaired, or weakened.
The customer accepts that there are risks involved with this type of work.
HeadLite.UK is not liable for damage to internal or hidden components that may occur during disassembly, repair, or modification. This includes, but is not limited to:
Control modules
Wiring
Motors
Adjusters
Projectors
DRL units
LED boards
Seals
Mounting tabs
Brittle plastics
Previously repaired or weakened areas
Some headlights are known to be difficult to open or prone to cracking due to their design, age, previous repairs, manufacturer bonding method, or material condition. If cracking or damage occurs during disassembly, HeadLite.UK may carry out plastic welding or structural repair where possible.
4. Previously Repaired or Modified Headlights
Headlights that have previously been opened, repaired, modified, resealed, painted, welded, retrofitted, or worked on by another person or company may require additional labour.
Previous repair attempts can make the work more difficult, increase the risk of damage, and require extra time to correct issues such as:
Excessive sealant
Incorrect adhesives
Damaged clips or housings
Poor wiring
Broken mounting points
Damaged internal parts
Contaminated lenses or reflectors
Failed previous modifications
Poor alignment or sealing
If HeadLite.UK receives headlights that have previously been worked on, this may be treated as existing damage or additional repair work. Extra charges may apply.
Where possible, the customer will be notified of any additional costs before further work continues.
5. Quotes, Pricing and Additional Work
Prices are based on the visible condition of the headlights, the information provided by the customer, and the known work required at the time of quoting.
Quotes are valid for 24 hours unless otherwise agreed in writing.
If additional faults, damage, previous repair attempts, missing parts, or complications are discovered during the work, HeadLite.UK will contact the customer with updated pricing before continuing.
Work will only continue once the customer approves the revised price. If the customer declines the additional work, HeadLite.UK may stop the service and a minimum labour, inspection, or preparation fee of £150 may still apply.
Full payment must be received before completed items are returned, collected, or shipped back to the customer.
6. Deposits, Cancellations and Booking Changes
A deposit may be required to secure a booking, appointment slot, parts order, or custom work.
Deposits are non-refundable if the booking is cancelled less than 4 weeks before the appointment date, unless agreed otherwise by HeadLite.UK in writing.
A cancellation, preparation, or teardown fee of £150 may apply if the customer cancels after preparation, inspection, disassembly, or any physical work has started.
If a customer wishes to reschedule, HeadLite.UK will try to accommodate the request where possible, but this is not guaranteed. Rescheduling may be treated as a cancellation if insufficient notice is given or if parts, materials, or labour have already been allocated.
7. Shipping and Handling
Customers must contact HeadLite.UK before sending any headlights or parts. The shipping address will only be provided once the booking or service has been confirmed.
Customers are responsible for packaging their headlights safely and securely. Headlights should be packed with sufficient protection to prevent movement, impact damage, lens damage, tab breakage, or housing damage during transit.
HeadLite.UK is not responsible for any damage, loss, delay, or missing items during inbound or outbound shipping.
If a parcel is damaged, lost, delayed, or mishandled by the courier, HeadLite.UK is not responsible for the damage or loss. If the parcel was sent using insured delivery, the customer is responsible for making any claim with the courier or shipping provider. HeadLite.UK will not be responsible for applying for refunds or compensation on behalf of the customer.
Return shipping is normally arranged using next-day delivery at £30 per box. Shipping prices may vary depending on the size, weight, destination, insurance level, packaging requirements, delivery speed, or courier availability.
If the customer requires a faster, insured, tracked, international, or specific delivery method, this must be requested before the item is shipped. Additional charges may apply.
International shipping is available for motorcycle headlights only, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Returns and Refunds
Due to the custom, labour-based, and made-to-order nature of HeadLite.UK services, returns are not accepted once the work has been completed.
Refunds are only considered where:
The customer cancels before any work has started and before the cancellation deadline applies.
HeadLite.UK is unable to complete the agreed service.
A refund is otherwise agreed by HeadLite.UK in writing.
Refunds are not normally available for completed custom work, special-order parts, used parts, labour already carried out, deposits cancelled less than 4 weeks before the appointment, or work stopped due to undisclosed damage or previous repair attempts.

Custom headlights are supplied for show, display, or off-road use only unless confirmed otherwise in writing. HeadLite.UK does not guarantee that modified headlights will pass MOT, roadworthiness inspections, insurance checks, or legal compliance checks.
The customer is responsible for checking whether any modification is legal for road use in their country, region, or vehicle application.

Additional damage discovered during the job
Paint, adhesive, curing, or drying times

Unexpected complications during disassembly or testing
HeadLite.UK will update the customer as early as reasonably possible if delays occur.
HeadLite.UK is not responsible for losses caused by delays, including missed appointments, vehicle downtime, hire car costs, event cancellations, MOT delays, or other indirect costs.
11. Photos, Videos and Marketing
Photos and videos of the headlights, vehicles, repairs, modifications, and completed work may be taken for documentation, quality control, portfolio use, social media, website content, or marketing.
Registration plates and personal information will be hidden where reasonably possible.
Customers who do not want their vehicle or headlights used for marketing must notify HeadLite.UK in writing before the work is completed.
12. Customer-Supplied Parts
Where the customer supplies parts, HeadLite.UK is not responsible for the quality, fitment, performance, compatibility, legality, or durability of those parts.
If customer-supplied parts are faulty, incorrect, damaged, missing components, or unsuitable for the job, additional labour charges may apply.
HeadLite.UK does not guarantee customer-supplied parts unless agreed otherwise in writing.
13. Legal and Business Information
