1. Service Agreement
By booking a service with HeadLite, the customer agrees to:
Provide accurate information about the condition and type of headlight
Accept any risks associated with opening or modifying the headlight
Pay all agreed charges as outlined in written quotes or confirmed communications
2. Inspection, Risk & Liability
HeadLite is not liable for damage to internal components (e.g., control modules, motors, wiring) that may occur during disassembly or modification of headlights. This is a known but rare risk when opening sealed housings.
Some headlight housings are prone to cracking due to design or age. If this occurs during disassembly (e.g., Lens Change), we may carry out plastic welding where necessary to restore the structure.
Some headlights require full disassembly for proper inspection. In such cases:
If the damage is too severe and you choose not to proceed with the repair, we can reseal the headlight with a new lens (if requested).
An inspection/removal fee of £75 applies in all such cases, whether the service continues or not.
3. Shipping and Handling
Customers must contact us before sending any headlights. The shipping address will be provided upon confirmation.
HeadLite is not responsible for any damage during inbound or outbound shipping. All items should be securely packaged and insured by the customer.
Return shipping is included in service pricing with insurance up to £250. If you require higher insurance coverage, notify us before we ship your item.
We offer international shipping for motorcycle headlights only.
4. Payments and Pricing
Prices provided are valid for 24 hours from the time of quote, unless otherwise agreed.
All jobs are priced based on visible condition and known work at the time of booking. If additional damage or issues are discovered during the repair:
We will immediately contact you with updated pricing.
Work will only continue with your approval. If declined, work will stop and the £75 minimum labour fee may still apply.
Full payment is required before return shipping of the completed item.
A £75 cancellation or prep fee applies if you cancel after initial prep or teardown has started.
5. Returns and Refunds
Due to the custom nature of our services, returns are not accepted once work is completed.
Refunds are only offered if:
You cancel before any work has started
We are unable to complete the agreed service
See our Returns & Refund Policy for more details.
6. Warranty and Limitations
All work is covered by our Warranty & Guarantee, which applies only to craftsmanship and components installed or serviced by HeadLite.
The warranty does not cover:
Improper installation by third parties
Electrical issues unrelated to our work
Physical damage after return shipping
Legal compliance or MOT failures resulting from aftermarket modifications
Acknowledge that custom headlights may not comply with road legality.
Customised headlights—including blackout internals, angel eyes, coloured components, decals, and non-standard Bi-LED setups —are intended for show or off-road use only or any previously opened headligh. HeadLite makes no guarantee that custom headlight modifications will pass roadworthiness tests (e.g., MOT or similar).
7. Lead Times and Delivery
Estimated lead times are provided at the time of booking.
We aim to meet these deadlines, but delays may occur due to the condition of the headlights, parts availability, or unforeseen complications. In such cases, customers will be updated as early as possible.
Photos of the completed work may be taken and used for documentation or marketing, unless otherwise requested.
